1. In the early stages of design, the hero of Tomb Raider was
a resilient South American woman named Laura Cruz. She later became
the very English hero, Lara Croft.
2. The core team that worked on the first Tomb Raider game for the Sega Saturn consisted of only six people: three programmers and three artists.
3. Core Design wanted to market Tomb Raider using sex appeal, and even asked the game’s creator, Toby Gard, to incorporate a ‘nude code’. He refused.
